I beg forgiveness if this is in the wrong place, it is my first post on this forum and I am a bit overwhelmed.

(Colour Storms)
My partner has played since 1.0 and I have been in game maybe 3-4 months at the most now. Not from lack of desire as my entire friends group plays and I was unable. The amount of strobing blinding colours overwhelms me and risks severe migraines and seizures. Sadly turning down player effects does only so much and we cannot effect the bosses. So I have to play in small spurts, not just do to the overwhelm of colour which I counteract at times with orange shades. But also the physical strain of playing makes it extremely taxing to me.

I have just entered Stormblood, its been long and hard but enjoyable. I am fully aware watching the painful blinding storm of colour in the end game raids my partner is in that I will never be able to enter that. I can barely look at it. So be it, as long as I can do as much of the game as I can I am happy.

But maybe in the future? Could there be a setting for people like me who cannot take the colour storm? I am aware that some would abuse it, turn down the boss effects to allow them a unfair advantage. If this is the case I can understand making the late game unaccessable to people like me to prevent others from abusing.

Another note as well, as I have worked on playing I have kept track of enounters that cause pain and discomfort, migraines, and potential triggers. I have no desire them change but I am posting such here so others may have it to be prepared.

Finally.. the last part of this multipart. I searched long and hard to find a outfit that made me comfortable and it is now my default outfit. I am muslim and there is no hijabs. I know this is no priority, but it might be something to consider making for future clothing.

There is a colour blindness mode that is meant to reduce colours on screen in general (not just visual effects), but I'm not sure how effective that is. Turning off or down visual effects can also help a lot. Have you tried adjust also the gamma (mix of black and white on screen), as that can also tone down 'bright' effects and take off their glare a bit.

As for a Muslim glamour, there are head scarf 'head' pieces available, but many of them resemble turbans and are often restricted to being worn by certain classes. There are also certain robes that have hoods worn up as part of the appearence, but they're usually very dull apeparence-wise and also are often mage-only wear.

Having said that, the Rain Hood that you're using for your glamour is a very good piece to use (and I think you've done a wonderful job of your glamour, all the pieces really work well!), but having an actual hijab added to the game sounds like definetely something to request the development team to be added in a Live Letter! :D

We have turned down the gamma and all the effects we can but turning off visual effects only seems to work for player created, bosses are still just as bright. =(

Turbans while they would help some, would not help my case, but it is nice that they accomidate some muslim needs. =)
