Without DC travel Materia is a dead game outside of the ~8weeks of a new raid tier.
JP players don't want foreigners to cause problems on their DC, fair enough.
Remove Elemental from JP and move it to Singapore and designate it as an 'International DC' and link it with Materia and NA.
Leave the JP players in their isolated region, region lock it and give them exactly what they want.
Both parties win.
The only incentive to get me back to Materia is DC travel.

SEA gets better ping to JP than it does OCE ( SEA has a huge population we need in order to grow ), the hope that more would xfer was a mistake, as a lot just refused to leave their friends, houses, FC's ( which I fully understand ) , Materia SHOULD have been connected to a much larger DC or server cluster at incept, the lack of DC travel is killing us. Even one established JP server to kickstart population would have helped.

Even though I've also been one that's been jumped on for calling it dead (by some even in this thread), y'all should have a fair shot to have the DC grow and function. At the very least connect it to NA, the ping (at least in EST) is well enough to run current content there and no one really cares about who comes and goes here. XD -

The problem is, if they open up DC travel then everyone goes away from the DC to do their content where they have worse ping but more people.
So what's the point of having this DC in the first place? A very expensive way to have some extra housing wards available? -

Materia also suffers from the Multiple timezones/DST within our own country basically screwing NZ/Eastern AUS players out content at an appropriate time.
