This is sad news, but times have changed.

Hoping there are still more sites and Discords out there where RPers can congregate and share stories. Especially with the new NA data center coming soon!

That's unfortunate, especially since the FFXIV community has crowdfunded much larger costs than the ones required to host a website. The benefit of this website is that it comes up at the top of google if you search for ffxiv roleplay or roleplaying and can be used to point people in the right direction.

Yes, that was definitely one factor that many pointed out.

RPC was still a nice place to put stories and chat, but since Discord and card came out, players have moved to those avenues.

Makes me wonder where the new RP hub is? List of RP resources or Discord links by server? Having such resources as RPC taken away that did that can make bringing RPers together.

And even the server part of the forums here are pretty dead too.

probably isn't one. or maybe the closest to one would be that rp event calendar thing if the person still maintains it. otherwise there's just the twenty thousand discord servers and whatever affiliates they choose to be associated with. ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

and nothing of value was lost

ERPers taking over RPs
It was only a matter of time...

That place makes me nostalgic!
I'm surprised that any random discord server is the alternative, as that's not half as accessible as a forum. But I guess I have no idea, as I stepped out of the FFXIV rp community years ago.

Thats sad to see. They were around for a long time and provided lots of info for rpers. I’m sure someone must of made a main discord for all of this now.
