So its just a personal rant. But Ocean Fishing is great its a nice thing to help FSH, because FSH in terms of gathering is irrelevant. We all know this. But, we get so so much useless fish in the Ocean expedition. Again I like it, its different, its cute, has its own in deph "things"
BUT
Why we get so much fish that is useless and if so, if that is the way, because of whatever.. Can we please make a way of getting rid of the useless fish meaningful and QUICK!
it takes ages to desthynth or sell for nothing or discard them.
Could there just be an option.
Ocean fishing fish.. you sell everything for 3000 gil .. all gone something like that. An idea. Want to hear what all you fishers think of this. Ocean fishing the loot is awful to manage... such a drag

Normally I'm all for QoL but... In the case of Ocean Fishing I think it works out as a balance. Ocean Fishing is just so easy to level up with.

I guess you get to keep them is so you can put them on a canvas for your home.. Which was a new feature when Ocean Fishing got released I think.
Maybe a sell all fish option would be nice at the vendor next to the boat or when you get your highscore :) -

My apologies, as I've never managed to care enough to get to Limsa during an Ocean Fishing excursion window - the 'release' ability does not work when you are ocean fishing? Ugh, if so, cause that makes me glad I never did. Fishing is awful on the inventory when you're low level and out in the zones. XP

Honestly I wish the desynth feature was a one and done deal when you have multiple stacks. I totally get why it takes forever due to engine and server trying to read a whole mess of data when desynthing items but I still wish for this to be almost instant.

Gear has a strict lvl limit, and makes low level gear still worthy to sell. Food doesnt have this.
And fish is suffering from that, because outside of food there is barely any use at all. I think they should make fish more often required in alchemy so instead of just giving value to just 1 class, it now is at least 2 (and alchemy crafts can also be required as ingredients for the other crafters). And the more viable fishing becomes, the more people will go for it, it will balance out.
