[DEV-Suggestion] Change Relic Weapon Models

I honestly believe Square-Enix should have used different weapon models for the relics.

I want these relics. I just don't want to spend months grinding for these "weapon models" with legendary stats. I really really want the Paladin relics, mostly for their iconic look. I could care less about the stats, just as long as they match with crafted level 50 weapons, not to out due any weapons you have to raid for.

Every picture Square-Enix shows off a job to the community they have these "relics" equipped. Honestly they should have made the current relic weapons into "AF Weapons" and created a new set of unrevealed weapons for Relic. Simply dumb the stats down for the AF weapons.

Since Square-Enix show the weapons off so much they almost seem you are meant to have them for your job. Doesn't that make sense? I mean without them I feel incomplete. I have this huge obligation now to try and get the relic weapons. I guess to understand how I feel, it would be like I would need to do this crazy year long relic quest to get my Gallant Surcoat. Sounds epic, but its an iconic piece of gear.

I wish they continued the Artifact Story lines with something interesting to receive the weapons (the models) and left the relic weapons to those hard core folks that want them. To me I just care about the model.

Does it make sense what I am asking for?

They show the stuff that looks good to draw people into the game. If they showed what a real paladin looked like, no one would get that nostalgia feeling from FFXI, they'd just think, wow that armor is really ugly.

When SE does screenshots for FFXI they almost always have relic or empyrean weapons not like its anything new. Or like this even matters.

i wouldnet mind grinding them if there was some kind of gain everytime you work for it.

just an example: ffxi relic weapons do dynamis, gain old currency, get old weapon, take to a npc a few times with payment then boom you have a weapon that still takes forever to get.

i'm sure the model will change when they're upgraded. Like from the 2.0 concept art, the pld sword is glowing.
