We don't want instanced housing

Some of us already got a house and it would be unfair to remove the neighborhood aesthetic for those of us who enjoy it.

I own a house in a neighbourhood and I want nothing more than for everyone to own a home, regardless if I lose my house or not. This system isn't worth it, and my neighbours may as well not exist.

Why would they need to get rid of existing houses to add instanced housing?

Devs biggest mistake was allowing individuals to own a home. The system should have stayed exclusive to FCs.

Instanced housing already exists with ward housing so you really don't need to worry on that front. What SE needs to do is improve the instanced housing. I've had my house for over 4 years now but I'd be more than happy to give it up if we got an instanced system on par with RIFT Dimensions functionality paired with the FFXIV art aethestic.

I think that's accurate. Even if SE abandons development of the ward system in favor of a new system, their track record indicates that they'd probably leave the current ward system in place.

Like the OP, I prefer the neighborhood aesthetic of ward housing, even if I rarely see my neighbors ... if you grew up in many American suburbs, that's what you might be used to anyway.

My only objection to a new housing system is the usual one: I don't personally want it, so I'd rather SE spent their time and energy developing stuff I do want. But what I want is merely what I want: SE will do as they will, and please who they please, and as long as I'm still having fun, that's fine.

Very selfish opinion. I've been betting on houses for years now and have never owned a house. I've been betting on houses since this new system was introduced, and have yet to win one. Every plot has over 150 bids on it on my server.

I see tons of houses that are completely empty, not one piece of furniture is set. I have TONS of outdoor furniture that I have earned from events, and I can't use any of them. I know TONS of people who are just creating FC's for themselves to buy houses.

There needs to be something that changes to open up housing to other people.

People aren't selfish because they know how to play the game and win. If you've been "betting" for years, you do not know how to play and I strongly suggest you change before demanding the game change.
