The Portrait system seems convoluted and flawed

Maybe it's just me, but i can't seem to connect my portrait unless i remake it over and over again because for some reason it doesn't take to my glam, doesn't matter if i link it to a glam plate or not, any small change seems to reset everything, and i have to start from scratch, which makes me think, "why is it so hard for them to just make a simple system where you set the plate and that's it" why do you have to wear the specific pieces of clothing, and make sure you remember what you wore to have it show up in your portrait?

make sure push update gear set button than go to portrait and edit and save. it is very painful system

meanwhile at Square-Enix headquarters: Hey dawg we heard you like menus, so we got more menus for you to menu!

Unfortunately, it's of my opinion that almost everything in this game that should be fun, quick and simple is a slog of a convoluted mess. Glamour is a perfect example.
