Ul'dah, Hall of Flames: Pakipo Tabkipo's Redundant Speech

When speaking to Flame Private Pakipo Tabkipo in the Hall of Flames as a non-member of the Immortal Flames, the text reads:

"I am the Immortal Flames officer charged with the bestowal of sanction status.I am the Immortal Flames officer charged with the bestowal of sanction status. Seeing as you are not of our organization, I must ask you to move along."

I imagine the same holds true for the corresponding NPC in Limsa as well though I haven't checked it (and don't have a name handy!), since the same text with minor alterations appeared in my previous topic about the sanction NPC in the Adder's Nest.

EDIT: While I'm at it, since this is also the de facto lore forum, the nearby NPC Nonoku Noku appears to be the only lovely lalafellan lady in the game with a second name aside from Sultana Nanamo Ul Namo, who follows a similar pattern (Plus an Ul--For Ul'dah?). I've always been curious about how those worked. Can we assume that female lalafell names follow that AAB AB scheme as a general rule?

I think one of the VoiDevs has a sticky V key; this type of doublespeak is getting pretty common.

It's been quiet in here lately, though - I figured the Dusty Tomes post would have drawn out a voidev, but just the usual lorewhores ;~;

This is the very same ailment that wreaked havoc on Serpent Private Ganathain's speech here. As with his Twin Adder counterpart, Pakipo Tabkipo has been cured of his propensity for repetition. Many thanks for the many reports!

As 2.0 approaches, we'll be officially releasing detailed information on naming conventions used by the five races. To tide you over until then, however, I can give you a quick rundown of the current rules Lalafells (Plainsfolk/Dunesfolk) adhere to. (Remember, there are always exceptions to the rules!)

Plainsfolk Male

Phoneme pattern is AB - CB
The A and C phonemes do not have to rhyme.

- Zorido Manarido

Fun Fact: Plainsfolk males will usually always use their full names, rarely ever breaking them down into first or last only.

Plainsfolk Female

Phoneme pattern is ABB - AB.

- Mimomo Mimo

Dunesfolk Male

Phoneme pattern is AAB - CCB
The A and C phonemes are 1 syllable, the B phoneme 2.
The A and C phonemes may rhyme, but do not have to.

- Jajariku Nanariku (rhyming)
- Nunulupa Tatalupa (non-rhyming)

Fun Fact: Unlike their Plainsfolk cousins, the Dunesfolk males often only use their first names.

Dunesfolk Female

Phoneme pattern is AAB - AB.
The A and B phonemes are 1 syllable.

- Jajano Jano

Fun Fact: While both Plainsfolk and Dunesfolk females will usually only go by their first names, when in the service of a Grand Company, they will often use their full names (for example: Flame Private Nonoku Noku).

Royalty

Members of the Ul'dah and Sil'dih royal families also bear the names of their respective sultanates.

- Nanamo Ul Namo
- Lalawefu Sil Tatawefu
