No new Trophy Crystal rewards for Series 2?

Hey, first post. Made an account specifically to to talk about this.

I'm kind of shocked that there are legitimately 0 new items to spend Trophy Crystals on. It was something I was heavily looking forward to, and it really took the wind out of my sails for CC. Especially when a majority of the battlepass rewards are Trophy Crystals. What am I expected to spend them on? I already bought everything I wanted last series.
Even if you played casually, you get a mountain of them working up to the Lv.25 reward, and unless you want literally every single item and glamour set available for TC, I think it's fair to assume that most people would have gotten what they wanted in that 4 month window.

When PvP got reworked and CC got introduced with the battlepass system and all the trophy crystal rewards, I thought they were setting a precedent that they wanted to reinvigorate PvP. Given that the major TC rewards were simply recolors of pre-existing artifact gear, I thought it was fair to assume that each series we would get a new batch of similarly recolored gear to spend our TC on.
But instead we got... nothing? Not even a new minion, or some orchestrion rolls, or portrait frames? Really?

It's pretty ridiculous, I think. I really don't think asking for recolors of pre-existing gear is that much to ask for. What was the point of putting all the effort into reworking PvP and adding a new game mode if they're just going to abandon it 4 months later?

It has really taken any excitement that I otherwise would have had to play CC and tossed it out the window. What do others make of it?

It sucks. Got everything I wanted from the crystal shop in 6.1, was hoping for new items in the crystal shop in 6.2, but we got nothing. Now I just spend my excess crystals on wolf collars in the hope that they make a few Feast items purchasable with it in the future.

For recolours I really wish they'd let you buy Relic/Animus/Anemos/Law weapons with different coloured glows if you already have a completed version of the weapon. Cronos Lux with a red glow instead of purple would be my dream weapon.

I wish they would at least instate a new wolf collar currency and give us new crazy-looking weapons similar to Abyssos'.

Everyone would be able to acquire them, nothing would be exclusive and those reaching higher ranks would be rewarded with more currency and thus would obtain stuff faster.

Have Bronze give 2 tokens all the way up to 8 for crystal and have weapons cost 10 and mounts cost 15.

why would they do that? Yoshi p removed feast and feast exclusive currencies for a reason.

This is all I can think to do as well. Hopefully they add more Wolf Collar items cause it's basically the only way to hoard more than 20k crystals.

I think being able to buy weapon glows would be amazing. Maybe even let us buy glows independent of weapons to apply to whichever ones we want? I feel like that would be a coding nightmare for them though lol

Either way, just gives us literally anything, please.

Ya I pretty much have nothing to spend my crystals on and nearly the entire "battle pass" is crystals. Its kind of annoying and its why I haven't had much interest in season 3. Like, the new PvP is fun, but its hard to ignore all the issues it has when there's nothing worthwhile to buy from the currency it gives.

I believe they said in the live letter introducing the new PVP system that they wanted to give the trophy rewards about 2 series before adding new ones since they are thinking of people who just do a casual match or three a day or even a week vs the guy who is already level 30 and maxed out two 20k EXP bars at Crystal level having bought everything on the vendor and then some.

but we will see if more is added when Series 3 comes about next patch.

This seems like such a cop-out answer. Waiting 8 months between rewards is pretty ridiculous if you want to keep an active CC player base. Without incentive to play, people are going to finish the battlepass and then abandon the game mode.
I don't understand why this would be the case, either. Catering to the people who don't play the game mode vs. the people that do seems like completely backwards logic.
There's also no reason to get rid of the Trophy Crystal rewards between seasons. If they mean to timegate them, then that just punishes the casual player base even more. 8 months or not, there will be people who miss out on the rewards if they're timegated in any fashion.
It all just sounds like a convenient excuse to ignore PvP for another 4 months (or who knows, maybe even longer).

At this point I'm just venting, but it's because I'm really disappointed with the XIV team on this one. I really fell in love with CC, but without a real incentive to keep playing, it just doesn't feel worth my time as much as it did before.

Considering they already effectively killed off any true reward for doing ranked at all (Seriously all they're going to do is keep the same adventure plate but change the roman numeral) and placed what would of been for top players be a matter of EXP grind to rank 25 (the mount) for this season, it can be a cop out answer. I got to platinum on season 1 and noticed season 2 reward was the same as was season 3 and mostly left it alone because...well what's the point if there is no drastic new reward right? The titles are nice...but they also won't change, just the achievement name for obtaining them on a certain season.

They went out of their way to do whatever it took to eliminate Win trading and how the Feast style of PVP circle was enclosed off to people who wanted said armor/weapons. They did but the consequence as you see is that there's a lot of downtime. I'm waiting for what they plan to add during Series 3 to fully understand how they plan to handle PVP for the future because as it stands I'm only doing it for Series reward. I do hope however they add the series rewards of past ones to the vendors as they promised but so far i have not seen the book for sale on the vendor for the determined emote. Hence me waiting for series 3 for the entire judgement.

CC is fun. CC is enjoyable...but there's literally no reason to do Ranked when casual gives same rate of Series EXP/Wolf Marks. They just need to give better reasons to do ranked without gatekeeping a majority which is nigh impossible with PVP since PVP will always require a skillset majority of players do not have compared to PVE stuff. Speaking from the angle of a majority, most of my friends casually play the PVP mode and still managed to at the very least get enough trophies to buy the cosmetics they want at a slower rate than I could even and i'm glad that system exists. It just sucks for people who actually adore PVP in 14 and managed to get series rank 30 in under a week with two characters and having them somehow at Crystal Rank for each.
