Reviewing up to 10 vods.

With the hope that this inspires the mentality of this forum to move towards growing and improving as a player, I'll be reviewing the first 10 video recordings of people's games with comments on how they can improve their play.

Bear in mind that my mains in PvP are redmage and bard, and while I have some experience on paladin, warrior, astro, monk, dragoon, reaper, and black mage, I wouldn't call myself exceptionally knowledgeable about these classes, so don't expect too many mechanical tips.

The best advice I like to give is to focus on the long term with a mind to find your own flaws and improve upon them. As long as you do that, you're no loser in my eyes.

Alas, most forum posters here are too far gone. It's the job balance and ruleset and idiot teammates' faults exclusively. Good luck!

Nice idea but this forum is actually just a wall for us to scream at.

I don't have any vods to share, and I haven't played CC for a hot minute at this point.

I would but i can't be bothered enough to run OBS or any other kind of streaming just to have some guy who may or may not have had friends carry them past plat/gold 'review' a vod i made, let alone for a mode that will be dead or dying in 6 months.

I cannot recommend Nvidia Shadowplay highly enough. It's nearly instantaneous to set up and records at extremely high quality. I have it set to record the last 10 minutes of games I'm playing with the intent of being able to catch a game where my mistakes are not obvious to me in the hopes that more skilled members of the community can help me improve.

With that said, I'm not exceptional and I fully admit it, but I would hardly consider myself as someone who was "carried to crystal." If anything, a lot of the reason I'm hoping to review some vods is so this game mode that I found surprisingly engaging will live long enough for my "low diamond in Overwatch" ass to not be in the top 100 on any data center.

I'm sure my words aren't really enough to convince you of my skill level, but if it helps, I played in the NA Community Cup as a part of Titan (Unreal); you can judge my (in my opinion, mediocre) play for your own eyes and see if there might be anything to learn.

Ayyo cool thread, I'd love to check out the vods too. ...I wish I could make some myself but right now my PC is a potato nearing the end of life, so can't make my own atm. (Replay system when?)

thanks for the advice on the recording software lol however as for everything else i don't think i need it seeing as im well on my way to having the 'hand of mercy' title, however i think there are people who DO need this advice and are genuinely bad.

I wouldn't worry about Towa, they're the PvP forum's little gremlin. They're either the worst player here, a troll, or both.
