Where do shards go from retainer ventures if inventory is capped?

Hi all,

I am currently capped for wind shards (9,999 in my inventory).

I had some retainers bring back more wind shards from ventures.

When I clicked the "Confirm" button at the end of the venture, the shards they gathered have not been put in my inventory, nor the retainer's inventory. They just seem to have vanished.

If you're capped on shards and try to collect more from a retainer venture, do you just lose the shards? Or have they been put elsewhere that I just haven't found yet?

They probably vanish, just like any other currency you're capped out on.

Items from retainer ventures will only go into your inventory. If you're close to cap on shards/crystals/clusters, it's better to either transfer what you won't be using in the near future to a retainer or sell on the MB.
