I don't want to be a pinata, please!

Hey, everyone! =D

I didn't find any threads like this one, so I'm posting it! Besides, one more doesn't hurt, huh...

I don't know if we are getting better options for customizing our gear, but it would be nice to be able to modify the appearance of what I wear, rather than just paint it. I remember when I played WoW that, in the end, I looked like a Tim Burton's nightmare, with so much colorful and non-matching clothing.

Let's not forget our beloved FFXI gear combos... specially this one. Damn optical hat...

Perhaps those images shown lately about helmets for FFXIV are actually what I'm looking for to see here. It seemed like a couple of different styles for the same headgear, as if we could choose how would it look. If so, that's AWESOME.

Please, devs, let us choose how our gear will look without dressing up like a pinata!

Didn't SE say something about dying armor different colors? I don't play currently and haven't looked at to terribly much information about this game, so far, so I don't really know. Has this been implemented/being planned for later update/2.0/just a rumor?

...just thought of dyes after viewing "Clown Marine" lol :P

Dyes exist, but even so you might get a set that doesn't fit AT ALL. Imagine a whole black and blue set of a horned helmet and a wedding dress, for example...
