Is there a problem with blue mage and the new dungeon ?

Hello, first of all i tried to research things about it, but i couldn't find anything. Appologies if i missed something that was already answered.

I tried tu lvl up blue mage, and at my surprise, wasn't able to get a spell, due to a dungeon change. I'm talking about petrification, obtainable at haukke's manor.

In order to get it, you had to kill the big eye pet of the boss. But with the changes, it became untergatable and unkillable.

Am i missing something or did they forgot about this part of the blue mage ?

There is now a killable Manor Sentry in front of the first mid-boss door.
