Ground Targeted Effects Sometimes Placed Far From Cursor

To give context to the template answers: This is a bug I've seen occasionally since the release of Patch 6.0 Endwalker, where a ground effect that players can cursor target (e.g. Asylum, Sacred Soil, Earthly Star) will be placed far from the cursor in a completely unintended location. I personally experienced a particularly clear example recently, which I've screenshotted to give a specific case in filling out the template. However, I do not believe the bug is limited to Sacred Soil, or to my system (as I've seen other players in Duty Finder with strange ground effect positions that make the most sense as unintentional).

Here is the screenshot, of a P6S pull in which Sacred Soil landed with its center point outside the arena entirely. I couldn't put it there deliberately if I tried - that's not a legal point to select with the cursor!

Steps:
1. Activate a ground targeted ability, such as Sacred Soil, bringing up the ground target cursor. Do not use a target macro.
2. Move the cursor to choose the center point of the resulting ground effect. I suspect that this bug is more common when attempting to place such an effect close to either another entity's nameplate or the center of another entity's hitbox (particularly for large entities); trying these may aid in reproducing the bug.
3. Place the ground effect and ??? - hope you get the bug.
4. Observe the placement of the ground effect far from the cursor.

A small update: I noticed last night (doing more P6S) that occasionally the ground target cursor disappears from under the mouse when moving it to place the effect near the center of another entity's hitbox. That condition seems similar to that which makes this bug more common, so I wonder if the bug occurs when the cursor is "disappeared" as the ground effect is placed?
