Earn XP when doing New Game+

Hello,

I recently completed FFXIV to Endwalker and it was a beautiful adventure, there is no words I can use to express my gratitude for what I experienced and I just want to keep experiencing it!

I seen New Game+ and I was really excited and I saw it as an opportunity to experience it all again with a DPS class(Dragoon) instead of my original main class Dark Knight. But, there was a issue and I found out that you cannot earn XP with new game+ using a different class from the beginning.

I had to leave Diabolos and make a new character in Zelera to experience it all again while earning xp and enjoying the main questline.

Regardless, I had to go to Zelera to make a character and earn XP and that is why I do not see a reason in restricting people from earning XP doing New Game+. I do see the problems and that is how people can work there way around it to get a lot of xp and etc. However, it should still be tackled.

What would I do in making this possible?

I would implement 2 different systems regarding this issue!

1. This will be the replay system, where you can replay it from where ever you want in the story(How it already is) from the class that you originally used!

2. This will be an actual New Game+, you will click on it and choose and beginner class and restart from the beginning without having the ability of starting from later areas of the story. It would all be under the same character but the class would start from the beginning with new game+. This will have many difficulties and issues, but this is truly what we need and it will increase the consistency in players by leaps and bounds. This is just a rough idea, it can be improved and refined even more by the hard working Dev Team run by Yoshida Naoki San!

As a maxed account I totally agree with this.

I think if we are going to give an incentive for joining a 'preferred' world that can give us around 3 levels a dungeon, then NG+ should be built upon.

It should be built with some bonuses for people who enjoy the main content of the game, be it titles, pets, exp, plates etc.

My counter thought would be that it could be abused - so maybe a requirement? Like end of the current expansion? Or better! Make it like the MSQ but with random click prompts?

I really like the idea tho. I'd love to replay the entire game again with an incentive. :)

The incentive is the story. If you add rewards to any game mode it will be exploited for easy returns, and new game + isn't something that needs rewards associated with it.

Yeah i thought about this too once when i was working on a New Game+, and while in some ways i wouldn't mind the extra experience; any extra rewards for New Game+ would absolutely turn into some type of exploit- without question.

It sucks but that's the crux of it; botters would just New Game+ 24/7 if there was some worth-while reward or incentive to it.

I do not want any form of rewards and not even quest items!

I only wish we earned experience so we naturally level up doing new game+ from the beginning. My Dark knight is already level 90 and that is what I used to play through the whole game. It was a great experience using that class and being a tank, now I want to be able to play new game+ with a different class(Lancer/Dragoon) and earn xp naturally because you don't earn any form of xp at all doing new game+. Your expected to level the class up by killing monsters and doing dungeons and then do new game+ when reaching the minimum level of that quest. At the end of the day, the better choice for me was to make a complete new character and then choose lancer. That is why not earning xp doing new game+ becomes in a way pointless for me!

There is a reason why I mentioned a replay system and a actual new game+ system above! To stop people from exploiting the whole system would need to be revamped and then you can definitely see it as a possibility!

I don't know anything about botters, what exactly do they exploit by being able to grind out jobs (xp only, no other rewards)? do they sell accounts or something?

NG+ should have exp only therfore you cna play it on a new class but you have to finish that MSQ to do it..whats wrong with this..no other rewards just EXP
