Did Island Sanctuary satisfy any reasons you want a house?

First, I'll repeat what has been said over and over: Island Sanctuary is not a replacement/substitute for housing.

Just the same, it has a few of the features that players frequently mention when talking about why they want a house (gardening, larger private space, outdoor area, etc.).

With that in mind, we've had a week now to explore Island Sanctuary to see what we can do with it. Has Island Sanctuary satisfied at least part of your reasons for wanting a house?

If so, where did it "hit the spot"?

What does it still lack that you expect to get from a house?

What has been the overall impact on your desire to get a house?

Not really. While I have many apartments, I would like instanced housing I don't have to worry about losing if I need time away from the game. The "decoration" within the IS is very limited and no one will have anything different across their IS in general. Not to mention a lack of garden or stables to grow things (outside IS use) or tend to chocobos.

No. I would prefer Instanced housing with smaller neighborhoods and more of a exploration content max players cap if they need it.

If I was to take a guess, I think this will make people who don't have a house want one more, or at least instanced housing even more. IS needs more customization, and more to do in general.

Island Sanctuary was REPEATEDLY stated that it wouldnt be a means to satisfy any housing need. So no, I didnt expect it would fulfill housing needs. And it hasnt. I still have mountains of housing rewards Im unable to use.
That being said though I do quite agree that now having seen what they are capable of in terms of INSTANCED solo content, I wonder why we cant have such a housing format.

We are constantly given housing furnishings as reward but all too few can use them due to housing demand, especially if said rewards are "outdoor furnishings" as Apartments do not allow for such functionality. Which leads me into my argument. If Island Sanctuary is possible, then so is SOLO instanced housing. I hope that after using Island Sanctuary as a trial run of sorts, the developers will try to create another option for housing. One especially for the common players who have otherwise been incapable of obtaining regardless of their many futile attempts.

Nope, after a week its safe to say for my personally, islands was a major joke

It was fun to try it out, and it was fun to level it a tiny bit, 1 weeks content sure but the fact that that minigame web-browsesr looking piece of content is what we got instead of more house wards is disturbing.

they do share same server place as housing wards so the two are directly connected.

Nope, but I didn't want it to be housing or expected it beforehand. I have a house, I have an apartment, I control my fc house, I have an fc room. Would be kind of redundant to get one more at this point.

This. Right now it seems to be just a bit of a daily/weekly thing. This isn't bad on its own but IS was sort of advertised, at least in my opinion as something we'd be able to customize to some degree to make it your own. You can't really do that though sadly.

Sort of the reverse in my case. Building my island made me see the appeal of having a house. At least from the personal garden perspective.

Not in the slightest. There is no creativity to the island at all.
