Adventurer Plate Portraits

Previously we could make portraits and apply them as instant portraits OR to our adventurer plates.

Currently, any portraits made via /portrait menu are only usable as instant portraits. The only way to set a portrait to your adventurer plate is by editing what's already there. It's impossible to have multiples saved or to copy and experiment different settings like last patch.

Let us assign portraits from the /portrait menu to the Adventurer Plate like we could previously do.

YES! THIS! Please make it so we can apply portraits to our adventure plate like we used to be able to. I enjoy having multiple portraits that I can switch to at any time, I don't want to have to repose the adventure plate portrait every time I want to change it.

I was about to use a Fantasia. Am I right in assuming that I'll have to recreate the pose on my plate from scratch if I fant back to the appearance I have now?

If so, I'm really hoping they give us a way to save plate portraits in future. I want to buy a fant but I don't want to lose the portrait I spent ages trying to perfect.

This is so frustrating. I don't want to have to reconfigure my portraits because there's no way to import the portrait I'm already using on my adventurer plate. Why is this system worse than when it was in testing? What's the point of testing if you're just going to change to a system that was not tested?

I literally just want them to revert it to beta, it was PERFECT???? Now if i want two different portraits featuring my reaper weapon I need to go make two separate gearsets for my reaper JUST to make more portraits. And you can't copy/paste your portrait templates either so you have to keep remaking it from scratch. I honestly can't even figure out how to use the portraits on my adventurer plate now and I also can't use the portrait unless it reflects the gear I'm currently wearing so I have to update them every single time I change glamours??????? Literally who thought of this?????? Hands down worst change they've made to a UI system in a long time.

I was wondering if I was the only one who had that problem. I liked the old system more tbh. I hate the idea of having all the portraits linked to jobs instead of just making a new one and having the freedom to apply it to adventure plate or instant portrait. Hope they revert it to how it previously was.

I agree, I'd like to be able to swap between different portraits easily and save my current adventurer plate portrait to a portrait slot too. I don't really understand the changes they made to the system in 6.2, its so much more limiting now.

The new system is a straight downgrade from when it was first introduced. I really wish to see it reverted.

Having one portrait allocated for each gearset is completely useless to me; what am I supposed to do with a dozen DoH/DoL portraits, show them off in PvP? Even if I wanted to do something out of them, all my DoH use the same glamour, so I probably wouldn't even need that many portraits anyways.

On the flipside, being able to create several portraits from the same gear on the fly was really useful to me. Simply during the creative process of my plate's portrait, I made a handful of temporary copies so I could try out different variations or small adjustments, and really get the details right without risking loosing something great.
No longer being able to copy an existing portrait to the adventurer plate is really going to be a needle in the foot, whenever I'll wish to make change to it; and I know I will want to at some points.

Quick aside: A second of silence for those few portraits that weren't assigned to anything, waiting to get sorted out, and are now lost to oblivion.

Edit: Oh, you meant to use on the adventurer plate. Yeah, they should make the import function usable for that.

I agree with everyone saying the current adventurer plate/portrait system is a big downgrade from the beta version, I'm so disappointed and unhappy about it. Devs please consider just... y'know, putting it back how it was in beta? When it worked really well and we could hot-swap portraits? I don't care one bit for the job associatied portrait concept, myself.
