Island Development

Loving the Island, we need more development. ^^

Adding a path around the island, linked to our Hideaway, would be super nice.
As well adding landmark spots on the island itself, in spots where we don't have spawns to worry about.

Some spots just as options.

x26.1 y30.8 - A good cliff spot for a Landmark.
x33.9 y19.4 - I like this as a spot for a small beach cabin. Throw in a bed, firepit.
x18 y13.8 - Obviously we need a cave under this waterfall, but I'm hoping we get more underground tunnels under the island as a whole, and connecting to the underwater swimming areas, just for more exploration, underground gathering. Be really nice to have an underground lake to swim in and have a little mini-hideaway cabin there.
x11.7 y21.6 - It'd be amazing if we could get a long swinging bridge connecting the hideaway to this point. Standing at this point, the bridge could hop first to the rocky cliff side as a brace. From there it could run along near the waterfall and stop off at x12.4 y25.7 near the little pool

Some of the beaches would be great if we could add in some lounge chairs and the like, found at Costa de Sol, Mist, etc.

Anyways, these are just my thoughts on ways the Island can be expanded further. I'm loving it enough to be running it on two characters. And would love to get the Wilds developed a bit further.

Especially with the Island glam system, where you can adjust stuff to personalize the Island a bit.

Some more Landmarks I'd like would be:

Jump Tower - A tower with a jump puzzle to the top, surrounded by a pool of water you can swim in. For diving off of.
Fireworks Tower - A tower that shoots fireworks into the sky during the evening/night hours.
Cosmetic Variants of the current ones. Or even better, the ability to paint/dye portions of things, to further give it our own look.


Edit: Get Cid to give us a cosmetic weather generator landmark so we can change the Island's weather. Just sat through 4-5 Fair Skies in a row. ^^ I want more inclement weather options.

Edit 2: A swinging bridge from x14.8 y27.9 in our Hideaway to the area just opposite it, would also be a great addition to provide travel down into the Croplands, and vice versa.

~ Guest NPCs ~
10-15 NPC Slots that allow us to invite popular NPCs like the Scions, major MSQ people, deceased NPCs, Tribal NPCs, Ascians, etc.
Similar to the Minion placement system.

For balance, they'd have to watch that it doesn't water the plants.

Oh I'm totally fine with that. I just want it cosmetic for the ambiance on the Island.

I hate that the weather is heavily skewed towards Fair Skies and Clear Skies. It's basically the same thing.

I mean, half the time it's on Fair Skies, and it's so boring.

Maybe instead they need it set to change the weather every 6 hours instead of an 8 hour rotation.

Still, if I had to pick, I'd say something like:
Fair Skies: 30%
Clear Skies: 20%
Clouds: 15%
Rain: 15%
Fog: 15%
Showers: 5%

That still sets Fair Skies/Clear Skies to 50% of the time. But currently it feels more like Fair/Clear is up to like 75% of the time.

I'll add this in.

We need the ability to place Guests on our Island. Or set up a random selection of so many, that will randomly spawn at differing times and weather. Just to have our friends over to the Island.

I'm talking the Scions, friends from the allied nations, friends from the First, etc.

We should be able to drop at least 10 in our Hideaway. Maybe 15.

This could function like Minion Placement, for the guests to always be present in an area.
Or else it could work with them shifting to different places in the Hideaway.

They could interact with Landmarks.

Windmill - Estinien could be up on it standing.
Bath House - They could be soaking in the pool.
Tree Fort - They could walk up and down the steps, sit down up at the top.
Workshop/Granary - They could wander around inside and look at the various things.

I think this would be a super addition to let us have our favorite NPC friends present on our Island, something to relax with.

They don't need but a simple line of dialogue at most.

Scions of the Seventh Dawn
MSQ NPCs (major NPCs)
Job Quest NPCs, like the major ones for a job that you interact with
Tribal NPCs
NPCs from the First (not lore based, but this isn't a lore-related thing so who cares?)
Deceased NPCs (you know those who have passed on, let's get them back on our Islands to enjoy their presence)
Ancients (definitely some of these from Endwalker)
Ascians (because why not? You might hate them, or like them)


Okay I know. Super ambitious. But if it's limited to just 15 at a given time, even 10, it'd still let us be super creative with who we have strolling about our Island. And it'd give a little bit of life to it.

Edit: Set it up where you buy slots using Seafarer's Cowries. 10k per slot would mean a total cost of 100k to 150k. Something fun to work towards if you wanted to, and encourage use of the Island even more.

Personally I would love to remove clear skies completely. Not only is it my least favorite weather in the game, but it really highlights a lot of visual imperfections not to mention looking really weird in large open areas.
