An odd change in the changelog

Or are people cheesing certain fates somehow?

I was reading that it probably applies to FATES where you collect and turn in items. Those that were doing it as the Disciples of the Hand or Land were just getting the items and turning them in and getting credit .

I think this is in reference to all those fates where you have to deliver items either by having it drop from mobs or picking it up from the ground. Gatherers could technically cheese that with their hidden trait. For whatever fate that is relevant enough for anyone to care.

Mm, you can collect them as a DoL then (you must) switch to a combat class and hand in for the XP. Faster and saves needing to fight anything.

I've seen people swap to, say, BTN and have their stealth "I'm not a combat job, don't attack me" ability up, run around and pick up all the items on the ground without aggro'ing anything, run back to the NPC, swap back to a combat job (now being out of aggro range of the mobs) and turn in everything. You don't need to be a level-synced fighty job to pick things up, just to turn them in.

So I'm assuming this isn't "you can't gather nodes in the area as a DoL job while FATEs are up" but rather "you cannot interact with and thus collect items off the ground as part of this FATE as a DoL job".
