thirst for garden plants

Just wondering if it would be possible for a 'water' bar to appear when you select a plant growing in a garden plot or pot. At the moment when you select a plant you get a line with a little sprout and a target marker for the plant but if you get distracted its difficult to tell straight away if you have watered it. I figured a bar similar to a health bar but blue could be shown when you target the plant and you can see how thirsty it is.

Hmm... a simple widget added to screen when watering, press button, watch the meter fill up in blue?, then release button press once filled up.
Could be as simple as that. And keep an eye on fill meter to see if it need watering again, e.g. 30% then water it
