Mog station Error Code: i2501

Hello I have been trying to purchase a couple things for a friend for a day now and keep getting error:

You cannot use this function.
Please contact the SQUARE ENIX Support Center for additional details.
Error Code: i2501

Ive tried different computers, browsers, phones, connections, incognito mode. Please, its the friends birthday SE and I am just trying to give you money, but like often times, it is for some reason difficult to do so. Please help me resolve this asap.

Hey, this error has usually two reasons:

1. it is an anti-fraud-mechanism. If your IP changed drastically then the system suspects, that your account may be hacked. And it blocks everything.

2. you forgot to pay your account or they could not withdraw money from your bank account.

But in both cases, you should contanct the SQEX support. :)

Thanks for the response but my account is definitely paid. As for the anti-fraud mechanism, I suppose thats obviously it, but not sure why it would be suspected of fraud to begin with. I don't use a VPN and have had the same WAN IP for months.

I thought this was SQEX support forums tho?
