I would love if SE would address their steam issue, or fix it in some way.
I get this login issue every time there is high traffic on Steam itself, and this error is just heartbreaking.

I would buy the entire game key again if it would mean I could move away from the Steam version of FFXIV.
A million times this. I'm so, so tired of all the problems having to auth through Steam causes.
Yeah I have the same issue as a Steam user.
I'd love to just switch. At this point you're basically treated as a second-class-citizen with a Steam-version. The Steam-authentication is literaly the worst thing that happend to this game.

Seriously, either revert the changes in February with the Authentication system for steam users, or allow Steam users to use the Windows/Retail Client. I would willingly purchase a new license, if the option to transfer my character from Steam to Windows/Retail existed.
