Please give Monk more pips for Chakra.
Monk is the ONLY DPS in the game that doesn't have some form of overcap insurance when it comes to using their oGCD that comes from resources.
- DRG: Nothing to overcap to begin with. You could count Firstminds' Focus, but given those only come after the end of each combo, it's hard to accidentally overcap on it.
- NIN: Ninki goes up to 100, all of the actions that use Ninki only cost 50, so again, plenty of overcap insurance.
- SAM: 100 Kenki, with the actions that cost Kenki costing less than 50. Meditation stacks go up to three, but given you need to use Iaijutsus to gain those, it's again hard to cap on it.
- RPR: 100 Soul/Shroud, the actions that use these resources only cost 50 each.
- BRD: Soul Voice goes up to 100, but the sole action that uses it only requires 80 for the extra benefit.
- MCH: 100 Battery Gauge, Automaton Queen only requires 50 to actually summon.
- DNC: Feather and Espirt Gauge, Feathers go up to four, so it's easy to prevent overcapping by spending the fourth one as it comes up before burst. Saber Dance only costs 50 gauge, so again, hard to overcap.
- BLM: Polyglot is hard to overcap, given it's usually used during your rotation unless you need them for movement.
- SMN: Nothing to overcap.
- RDM: Balance Gauge, they changed it so that it costs 50 out of 100 to use the melee combo, so again, hard to overcap anymore.
But Monk? Monk only has five pips to fill chakra and you have to use it immediately to avoid losing out on pips via overcapping. This isn't really fair, especially with the fast pace of Monk resulting in fast generation of Chakra during openers and 2 minute burst windows thanks to Meditative Brotherhood. Monk seriously just needs to be allowed 10 pips of Chakra and that would fix the problem. Meditate can just fill you up to five pips, so the extra five are purely for overcap insurance.
