Owning more than one house?

I recognize that various places say you can only own one.
I own a small house. Today I was looking around and was able to place a bid on another.
Why? What will happen?

You will be able to relocate your house to the new plot if you win, losing your previous plot.

Better hope you don't win it...or you're gonna lose your old one and all the deco inside of it. Or, if you win it and don't claim it I don't think you can get your money back.

If you win, you will have the option to relocate your old plot to the one you just bid on, freeing up your old plot for someone else to take. You can accept the move, or you can ignore it for the 4 days of claim then get half your gil back.

If you lose, you get all your gil back.

No furniture is lost either way.

You don't lose furnishings, they go to the storeroom if you relocate.
If you win but don't claim the plot, you lose 50% of the deposited gil.

If there is room left. But I'd imagine that a lesser issue now with lottery since you still are the winner as long you act during the pick-up period.

Owning more than one as well as multiple FC houses, should not be a thing, SE should enforce and remove that feature, with compensation to those few affected.

Equal rights for all, no favorization for anyone, that this grandfathering is, as well as exploiting the current system as well.

The decorations just go into storage. If storage is full, it goes to an NPC in the ward for pick up

I Remember relocating from a small ti another small.. having to re-decorate everything was a pain.. :/
