Instance lag
Every since the last emergency maintenance I have been getting this weird jitter on screen only in instance areas. In the open world game is smooth getting over 120fps. In instance areas there is a noticeable jitter in the game. Not losing any fps though. This is all instance areas (dungeons, trials, housing area, pvp)
Windows 10
NVIDIA evga 3080ftw
Intel i9-11900k
All drivers fully updated. All other games working fine

Greetings fellow Eorzean,
Are you running multiple monitors by any chance? Do you have any other applications running in the background? I would advise trying a clean boot of your PC to minimize any sort of interference from other applications. This can be done by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything listed under this tab and then restart the PC, and proceed to launch the game and test if the issue persists in an instanced area.
I would also recommend adjusting your in-game settings to see if it may help with the issue. Within the graphical settings of the game, there is an FPS limiter option; you can try adjusting this accordingly and seeing if setting a cap on your FPS helps with the jitter. Additionally, have you tried switching between windowed, borderless windowed, and full screen?
We hope we can be of assistance with this issue!

Thank you for the response. I did find over the weekend that switching from borderless windowed to full screen then back to borderless windowed does fix the instance jitter problem. I have to perform this function every time I launch the game now though or the jitter will persist in all instanced areas. I also did try the clean boot and turning off the fps limiter but those did not solve any issues.
Thank you for your time. This problem did start with the last emergency maintenance. Not sure if anyone else is having this issue but the screen mode swap did work.
