My personal wishlist for XIV

well, I don't know where to put this, so I'm putting it here. it's just my personal wishlist for this game after playing it for 3 months :)

I hope it's not an imposition, but I feel like i need to get this out there somehow and stop carrying it around with me.

I'm sure that most of it's been mentioned, and I don't claim any right to any ideas. don't care about any of that, I'd just REALLY love to see some of this stuff changed or implemented! ^^

when I click on a teammate let the dot blink on my map.

when i begin to move, cancel any casting.

i want to see all 3 rows of the hotbars at once, if I want.

increase all travel speeds by 20%

increase anima regain by 30%

replace Holy (whm) with an MP refill ability

actual names on the map, not scribble.

adjuster for opacity on map.

let us Zoom out from our char 100% further!

make char /sit when logging out.

show when someone logs in or out of LS chat.

the ability to get info on item through an in game database. ( e.g.- "/tell
items sword", would produce a /tell back to you with the list of all items
with sword in the name) or an option in the main menu with pics and info of
items in the DB, that would be awesome.

ability for WHM to warp the entire team to their location. outdoors only!
should cost each player that accepts the warp 1 anima.

give option to sort inventory alphabetically.

give option to take ALL loot, instead of 1 item at a time. (does this exist? I have't seen it)

global or regional JP and English, OOC (out of charactor) chat.

enable jump. very small jumps, just enough to get over a fence.

make race matter! tiny race should be better at evasion, larger should be
better at tanking damage (hp) and all steps in between. keep it simple!

add random rare drops to Primal loot tables. even if it's just social.

instead of totems, and untradable weapons. add loot that needs to assembled
from collecting the parts, and make the parts tradable.

!!!put a pvp arena in the middle of the jungle in Gridania. should be a Roman
Colosseum type with area for observers all the way around it. and vines all
over it, like Mayan ruins, hehe.

let us do more than just 1 thing at a time. it seems a bit odd that I cannot
open my inventory while searching the wards at the same time.

allow Sanctions to be renewed in every city regardless of Grand Company, or at
least make them last twice as long. it's a silly pointless waste of time to
have to run back n forth every 3 hours for something that's barely worth bothering with in teh first place.

when we press ESC during a cut scene, don't ask us if we want to skip it, just
SKIP IT! better yet, make an option to turn off repeatable CS's

enable a way to "click through" multiple mobs or players that are stacked on
top of each other with our mouse.

make hp bars red instead of pink.

lets us right click on any player name in any chat, and have a menu open up
with the obvious options, add to team, send tell, etc.

last but not least, a social gear tab! it should only be active in the cities

You forgot about the most important thing. Key binding. No one who plays an MMO in their right mind uses 1-0 as hotkeys.

I want to use grave, 1-6, q,e,r,t,z,x,c,v,f,g, all of those with shifts/alt/ctrl modifiers if I need to.

I also do not want to have to click the Home button to bring up the menu.

I do want to see all my action bars at the same time, maybe add a 4th so I can put items on there etc.

Let's take a look and add my opinion on things (in bold):

No. You have a chocobo, anima for teleportation, airship, etc. to travel faster.

increase anima regain by 30%
No. anima regens at a good rate already and you can now earn anima with Hamlet defense.

Maybe, no opinion on that as I haven't tried it yet.

In case you haven't noticed already, there is both the Eorzean writing and translation. I personally like the Eorzean writing even though sometimes it is hard to read.

No. Just make yourself a logout macro with /sit or type it yourself.

I agree, having an in-game database would be very awesome and useful. The database should include items, monsters, NPCs, etc. It could even be part of an exploration mini-game/feature (with achievements and all) and entries are added only when you discover them or check the items on someone else.

I really don't see why a WHM would need to warp the party to his location. If anything, it would be the party leader. But, I disagree with this. Really easy to abuse for cheap transportation anywhere.

Why not.

Not sure it exists, but your loot will drop in your inventory automatically after a time. No sweat. But sure, could be added for simplicity.

No, please. It will be filled with people shouting and screaming nonsense, looking ineffectively for party, members, whatever... why would you want your chat log to be spammed with a line of text every half a second?

Confirmed for 2.0! Yay!! No very small jumps, high FF-esque jumps for the win.

The point of race was for aesthetic only, with Tanaka at least. What we could have is a racial trait grid and each race start at a different point on the grid. Then you choose traits at character creation or level up or something.

We already have stupidly low rare drops for the totems and weapons. Don't toss in the fire already. That's just a worthless idea.

Wha-?! First, it's a forest, not a jungle. Second, Uldah already has a fighting arena. Your Roman Colosseum wouldn't even fit the lore of Gridania, it's a sacred forest.

I think we have a quest or will have a quest to allow that.

The option to turn off repeatable CS would be the better idea. I like the skip confirmation as it prevents accidental skip.

That's why we need monster and player collision back, makes everyone and everything spaced and organized instead of a clusterf**k.

Definitely need something we need, especially in a game where equipment reward is the main reward.
