That said, I've not seen any large or medium houses for a couple cycles now. Did they turn on demolition? I can't imagine folks downgrading or letting them go since it'd be darn near impossible to re-acquire.

It will be a server transfer. Maybe an EU player who was playing on Goblin who can now transfer off, and knows they have good chances at replacement homes on one of the 4 new servers.
