Okay so I got the seagull minion just fine. But I never seem to get credit for seeing the dolphin pods. What am I doing wrong?

Okay so I got the seagull minion just fine. But I never seem to get credit for seeing the dolphin pods. What am I doing wrong?
You need to actually get the buff from the dolphins deciding to stick around in order to get the achievement.
