False advertising email from SE

False advertising email from SE

Today SE sent out an email advertising the Megashiba Mount & Street Attire, but someone clearly messed up the prices.

It states:
Megashiba Mount: 10,50€
https://i.imgur.com/3GcmPAN.png

Street Attire: 1,40€
https://i.imgur.com/Ltx3eSn.png

When its actually:
Megashiba Mount: 16,80€
Street Attire: 17.50€

The email was sent from their normal advertising email:
noreply@xmail.square-enix.com

If you click on the links in the email it will send you to the FFXIV Online Store and will show the real prices.

Maybe it's time to lower your prices SE? :rolleyes:

So is this really just them messing up?

I instantly deleted the mail because I thought it was some cheeky phishing attempt.

Yeah, it's sent from their normal advertising email, all links looks as they usually do in their advertising mails and they all go to the real FFXIV Online Store.
Someone most likely forgot to update the prices from their last email "Save 30%, plus New Emote and More!". Which had the "Lyse's Leadership Attire" for 10.50 € and the "Emote: Vexed" for 1.40 €.

It wouldn't be the first time that SE has copy and pasted their previous work and forgot to edit it. A lot of us would probably make that mistake eventually as well.
