If CC Didnt Exist, What Other Content Would You Want?

The season just reset and no one is playing: never queue pops during off peak times and same 20ish people during peak (diamond/crystal rank)

Imagine all the other content we could have gotten if they didnt make a whole new game mode to be dead half way through the 6.1X patch cycle?

So what content would you have liked to see instead?

I'd like to see the final arc of the Ivalice/Bozja storyline with additional Delubrum Reginae-style raids and exploratory zones. Neither of which are planned for the forseeable future.

I really want 8v8v8 pvp, smaller scale stuff that isnt CC. Think WSG or AB in WoW. I would also really like for garlemald to be properly fleshed out. Maybe they could tie it into the unfinished/abandoned bozja storyline.

I really liked the DR raid, that too is kind of annoying that you have to go into bozja to even queue for it.

Capture the flag may be an interesting pvp mode. I think smaller modes 8v8 would make it feel like you arent getting perma stunned down and killed like frontlines.

If SE would of given all the frames for the tiers we completed then ranked pvp would be fire right now. Most are doing just casual because they are purposefully wanting to down rank to get the Diamond frame when this season is over.

From the outset of the announcement they'd be creating a new 5v5 mode, my opinion has always been that the effort should have been devoted to improving Rival Wings, adding CTF (TF2 version to avoid the "immortal flag carrying tanks" issue WoW had with the more traditional CTF style they went with), adding Onslaught (UT2k4), adding Assault (UT/UT2k4 version, or possibly TF2's version), etc, aiming for 24v24 in relatively large and open maps.

With the servers we have, something like WoW arenas is just never going to be feasible here, so I don't really agree with even bothering to try. I think CC is a lot of fun but it's always going to be held back by those awful server ticks. Maps and modes with more of an emphasis on managing objectives, piloting vehicles, maintaining effective player distribution, etc will fare better with low tick rates.

I *do* think the class rework/redesign was an 11/10 success, though. I love the unique+personal LBs thing and honestly wish they'd do that to PvE. I do think classes should generally have about 8-10 unique buttons (so 13-15 with shared Recuperate, Purify, Guard, Elixir, and LB) though. I think the current 6-7 is a little bit too limiting.

I want more objective style pvp maps similar to warzones in swtor.

I doubt more than a handful of people even remotely care about lower rank frames...
