Would be Cool If se Allowed Meld On artifact Armor and rare/ ex gear weapons.
It would give us an edge as players who craft ---
and give us a reason to keep going for these Rare/ex gear (sorry for using XI terms ;P)
would also be cool if I could meld my AF hat- and If I blew it up I would have to request it again. My choices of doing it so, On the same time it helps players who haven't done the quest- since I'll be force to redo the quest again.

I think, for the most part, rare/ex items are balanced on the idea you can NOT put materia on them. They would have to lower the default properties if they want to allow materia to be added.

I could see it happen under rare circumstances.
Like upgrading luminaries to prevent them from becoming totally obsolete when the level cap is raised. Maybe they will become unique (cannot be used in multibind) materia to be slotted into a new future tool?
I like the idea if you could put only one materia in it
Don't see it happening but i do see AF2 sets comming later down the road.
then theres no point of wearing artifact- that's the purpose of wearing them cuz they suppose to be uniquely for the job ;_; and most powerrrfull ;)
