What do we have right now? Frontlines, which having different maps with slightly different objectives but virtually are all the same
Crystal Conflict, which is dying
Feast which was removed
And Rival Wings, which was also removed for no logical reason.
All we really have is One game mode, and another (CC) which is dying since most people were only playing for the rewards and have either given up or already gotten them, and there's no further incentive to keep playing. Meanwhile, Frontline is the only game mode on the Roulette for absolutely zero reason.
We need much more modes that don't just get removed, and are put on the bloody roulette so they dont die. WoW's PVP BGs stayed alive because they had them on the Random BG roueltte from the get go, with occassional days where you would get more rewards for doing one specific BG. In FFXIV, the devs had the brilliant idea to only put one mode on the roulette and give limited incentive to play any other (mounts/glams) which when you get them you never need to go back.
If devs want PvP to survive, along with their latest game mode which is on the verge of death, they need to not only add more modes but put EVERYTHING on the daily roulette. There is absolutely ZERO excuse for both the severe lack of modes, the removal of perfectly functioning modes (RW), and not having them all on the daily roulette. None.
I am sick of Frontlines. I am sick of that being the only thriving mode. Add more modes, bring back RW, and put them all on the Roulette. There is no excuse for this current system.

CC ain't dying, lol. If I can get games consistently at 4:30 in the morning on a Monday, the mode ain't dying.
I do agree it would be nice to have more/better PvP roulettes, though. -

"PvP is dying/dead" is the clarion call of people who are bad at PvP and want it to be dead rather than bother to put effort into becoming better at it. On Crystal, FL is usually "dead" from like 2-3 AM until after the reset (when most people are sleeping) on weekdays, but is active otherwise. I can get a ranked CC game pretty much any time of day, although it might be 5-10 minutes between games (unless people immediately requeue) during the graveyard hours. But you can expect 60 sec or less until 2-3 AM, and near-instant during prime time.
PvP is doing quite well. The new system has its share of flaws, but it's much more fun than it was before. I do miss the more proper healbotting of old FL sometimes, though. -
