Subscription charges
When i subscribed to FF14 for 3 months ago i turned off auto renewal, this was very important to me because i will have no time to play the game, i checked 1 month later & auto renewal was turned off, except today ive been charged for 3 months subscription. what can i do? because i wont be able to play the game due to long work hours, have i just lost £25...
this also happens on xbox game pass with the free month, doesnt make any diffrence i turn auto renew off it turns back on, the only way around was to cancel auto renew 5 days before subscrition end..

You would need to cancel your subscription (not the service account). Afair there is no turning auto renewal off, there's only cancelling the subscription.

sorry i ment i pressed the cancel subscription button, so subscription wouldnt auto renew once expired, when i checked account status it had date subscription would end but no renewal date but today i have been charged for a further 3 months which i have no plans of using. their is no way to contact square Knix to see if anything can be done. also this time i have removed my card info from the database as well as cancelled subscription. just to make double sure it doesnt renew. subscriptions starts today is thier anyway i can contact square Enix for a refund or have lost £25.

you cannot get sub time refunded back. do not issue a chargeback unless you want your account banned.

Unfortunately the person above is right and you cannot get a refund for subscription time.
When you cancel a subscription, you should get an email with the title "[Square Enix Account] FFXIV Notification: Subscription Canceled". If you do actually have that, then you might actually have a chance of getting a refund.
Although saying that, they also send out an email 5 days before "[Square Enix Account] FFXIV Notification: Upcoming Payment" to let you know that a payment is coming out...
Sorry I think you're out of luck :(

To offer a different opinion, I doubt you are out of luck.
Simply contact support and let them know what happened. Not here, in the Technical Support forums; open up a support ticket and explain what happened.
Most companies are reasonable when it comes to this stuff, especially if the charge just happened, and they can also verify that your playtime since the charge is nil. And that means, of course, you don't play until you get this resolved.
Good luck.

Something else that can be done in the future is to remove payment information from your account when you do not want it charged. When you are ready to be charged, you can add it back.
