if you really want changes get onto SE and the balance team not just yoshi-p

i kinda feel this needs to be said since it's starting to feel like people think yoshi-p playing other jobs will magcally fix everything. yes yoshi-p has influence over the balance team but he's not the only factor here. the balance team itself also has a large part to play here if you're not getting view points or have people that can play at all skill levels, then it doesn't matter. you'll still just get jobs being balanced around the lowest skill levels as what's happening now,

yosi-p could legitimately play every job but not play them at the same level as his BLM. which kinda bolsters my point even more. weird the one job thats played by someone in the dev/balancing team at all skill levels is balanced for all skill levels right? we should be focusing on the balance team and getting them to start playing at varying skill levels. and honestly it would be great to even just have 1 person per job so they can actually help to differentiate jobs and really focus in on what each job seperately needs.

now this is where SE comes in without funding you may as well kiss anything changing good bye. SE needs to wake the duck up and start investing in this game if they want to keep milking it for years to come or until we get the next online MMORPG. (which i kinda doubt based on the success of this game it might end up like WOW where they never really create a WOW 2). just like i doubt they'll invest more in it cause why invest more when the player base will accept the bare minimum, and keep seeing more and more new players each expansion

The director more actively playing other jobs likely won’t magically fix every single problem that many players of said jobs have, but it’ll still help a lot more than if he didn’t; you don’t have to view things like this as an all-or-nothing on-or-off switch.

Please fully re-read what I posted; I never said that he never occasionally tried other jobs, since he’s shown some during brief demo periods before for instance.

so why should he be forced to play them all actively? when he has an entire team who are supposed to be doing that for him? thats why you all look at this through an all or nothing lens. if the man has a job he likes and the other jobs he likes as well but might not love them that's fine. no reason to FORCE him to play them all more actively instead of looking at the overall picture which surprise, was the whole point of this post. cause assuming him playing every job more actively will solve issues. when it most likely won't in the actual grandscheme of things unless the actual teams themselves can see where he's coming from and test the changes at all skill levels. doing that for one job for a small team is perfectly doable, but 19 when they're supposedly already understaffed? you're asking for alot

which is where SE themselves come into play. cause they refuse to invest more in the games development teams the overall balancing and content will hurt as a result. once again no he shouldn't have to play all 19 jobs actively he already could but not at the skill level of BLM he could have every job at 90 but not play them ont he same level as his BLM he might just prefer doing EXs or normal content wiht the other jobs and thats perfectly fine he has an entire team thats supposed to handle balancing it's not his fault the company won't add more to his funding or the fact the balance team only accounts for the lowest skill levels alot of the time
