You should be able to keep Crystalline Conflict rank rewards after changing servers

I climbed through the rank's during the new Crystalline Conflict season when it first came out and got to Crystal rank within the first month. I was happy with Crystal rank because I knew I wouldn't be able to compete for top 100. However, I recently decided to change my home world so I could join a friends FC and participate in a Ceremony of Eternal Bonding. I read that I would lose the CC rank when I transferred but the rank itself didn't really mater to me. However, I don't see a reason why I shouldn't be able to get the rewards associated for having obtained the rank so I sent in a ticket to ask if this was a feature or if there was interest for it. The support team got back to me and told me to make a post here so someone on the dev team could take a look at it and consider if it was worthwhile.

Keeping Crystalline Conflict rank should be a thing, especially if Data Center Travel is implemented. If we're allowed to travel to other Data Centers to play (and eventually, party up if team queue becomes a thing), we should also be able to queue in a similar ranking through Crystalline Conflict without climbing again from the beginning as other players, no? Likewise, the rank rewards should be kept if people are transferring across Data Centers since the highest rank is already preserved.

Unless Data Center Travel prohibits PvP or access via the Duty Finder, I don't see why keeping Crystalline Conflict rank and rewards shouldn't be allowed.

You cant even copy settings from one character to another. What could you expect? Quality of Life in a decade old game?

I mean you can, but it does require delving into the game files. So technically it's possible... but yeah, not QoL.

We live too long to know it isnt impossible. it just requires doing and using unmentionables cuz of reasons of 'please understand we are an indy company with budget restrictions' :rolleyes:

you can just copy paste your character details lol and it'll save all your settings even your portraits.

Rewards yes, but rank no.

It's not that I'm against it, but I don't really think that's how ranks work in general in any competitive mode. Different DCs are going to have slightly different skill levels that are difficult to gauge or compare for one.

But for another reason... Ranking systems tend to be like a pyramid. There's less spots the higher up you go. It's easy enough to slide a rank out of any position in the ladder, the gap should fill on its own naturally but you can't simply shove a rank into a ladder that's already full.

Anyways, I support the transferring of rewards. You earned those and those aren't a problem. Transferring rank would be a bit different though.

Imagine the last day of the season and people trying to snipe leaderboard positions by switching to a DC with lower ratings? There is a reason they reset :p

Is there a (visual) guide for that? It sounds highly illegal to alter game files but I'd like to know for.....scientific purposes....
