So, maybe I am missing something. I skipped out on the shared fate system in shadowbringers (maybe one day I will complete those leveling my alts) But I want to do them in endwalker.
However, you need to complete all the zones to rank 3 before you can buy the vouchers right? The other stuff I don't really care about except for fast flying which is only 75 gems.
Quick maths you need 6 zones times 66 fates (assuming you participate enough or do them with party you'll receive 14 gems per fate).
6x66x14= 5.544 gems. Which is 55 vouchers. For the mount you need 500, and for the cosmetic item too. But with the current cap of 1000 gems... You're basicly wasting 4500 gems before you can start your voucher collection journey. Wasting may not be the correct word because you can buy materials and sell those... But I don't really need the gil.
Why not unlock the voucher vendor at rank 2 but you can only buy the mount when everything is rank 3? This way it doesn't feel as much as a waste. Now I have to sell stuff because I'm capped. And buy back vouchers from it later?
The fact that you are able to sell the mount on the market makes me wonder, why bother even at all? I can make the gil quicker than doing all these fates anyway.

You can buy other things with a bi-colored stones.
Minion's, Orchesterion rolls, crafting items to sell.
I bought stuff like this and still needed to farm more to get everything after I reached everything on rank 3.
Also, you are already flying at max speed. The extra thing is just for faster ground speed.
Oh, and when you have the spare Gil then go ahead and buy the mount. It cost me just 55mil Gil.
And it is a good way for other to farm money so that they can buy whatever people need Gil for in this game. -

So yeah like I said, I don't really want the other stuff, but I do want the mount. I don't really see the point grinding everything to rank 3 then. If you can just buy it off the market it is not really an achievement anyway. I make around 10-15M a week, so buying the mount is the easy way. And faster as well... 50.000 gems / 14 per fate = 3.572 fates.... Thats is why I don't see the point locking the vouchers at rank 3. So, I guess I'll just bring everything to rank 3 (for completion sake) and sell the materials on the MB to get even more gil.

The vouchers are intended to be a reward for those players who have grinded every EW zone to rank 3. They're not intended to be easy to obtain.
Your choice not to spend your gemstones on the other items available. -

But they are easy to obtain, it is just another time gate. So you've completed everything to rank 3, your reward is that you can finally purchase vouchers, which requires you to do even more fates.
I'll just buy the vouchers... -

Probably better for a player to research their local marketboard before going that route. The rolls you can buy at rank 2 tend to sell less frequently and for significantly lower prices because they're so easy to obtain. The more lucrative, faster selling rolls still require Rank 3 to purchase.Quote:
