Legacy Chocobo
Will the exclusive aspect of the Legacy Chocobo be that their bodies will look of a unique breed (implying that they can wear the same barding that existing chocobos have) or is it a unique look to their accents (armor, etc.) that is the exclusive part?
I can't really tell! For all I know, their stats are different. Anybody know?

Fairly certain it has been said there will be no stats, it's just aesthetics. The legacy Chocobo has unique barding that no one else will be able to obtain, and it also has blackened tips on it's feathers.
-
Theres no stats differences in that they run faster, but we dont know how the chocobo in fight will work.
As for the design, idk what to think, my current one looks much nicer with armor and flag.

It'll be nice to have a chocobo without all the GC flair.
-
That's part of what gets me; the barding is aesthetics only for now, but in 2.0 it'll make some sort of difference that we're unaware of at the moment. Would this mean we lose those bonuses on our Legacy birds; or do they have their own bonuses? The legacy birds are coming out at the same time the barding gets stats, afterall.

I want to know what marking that is on its head. We need the lore guys in here. The armor also looks very different on the head, and the beak itself is a different shape. If I were to make a guess, I'd say it's possibly a Garlemald chocobo.

I actually dont want another damn mount button. This should be just another barding option honestly.. Even if it changes the coloring like the artwork suggests. and they should make the mount option a menu that expands with the logos of the chocobo, goobue horn, magiteck, and whatever else they have in-store. Seriously if it becomes 3-4 different icons on the micromenu its going to get very annoying.

The only substantially different thing I see is the bird has black tailfeathers.

And the dalamud symbol on it's beak from the looks of it.

I am pretty sure you will be able to hold multiple chocobos and can switch to the chocobo you want to ride in a stable (I hope in your player house) and breed them too. I cant wait for it and I hope chocobo breeding will be ready at 2.0.
