Warrior level 45 Quest Problem

I have a main as a Scholar and a secondary job as a Warrior. Somewhere along the line I tossed some armor I thought was taking up space. Recently, I started playing the Warrior again but am getting nowhere. The quest I am trying to do is called "Looking the Part" which requires some of the armor that I tossed, for me to wear. The quest does not have the option to abandon. I did check a Calamity Salvager and all its menu options and could not find the fighter armor I needed. I can't delete a job, so I'm stuck with that unplayable job. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Ok, its going to take me a couple mins to find but there is a solution. The gear can be re-aquired, thus allowing you to continue questing. Ill update this in a few mins.

Edit: Ok. You should be able to get them from the Calamity Salvager. First menu choice is "Purchase Job Specific Gear", second menu choice is "Purchase lv. 50 gear(DoW)", and the pieces should appear there. It is also possible you still have them, and just misplaced them somewhere. Try using the item search command. In this case, "/isearch fighter" should do it. That would bring up a list of every item you have that includes the word "fighter" in its name(and the set youre looking for IS the "Fighter's ______" set). One possible place they could have gotten stored(its where mine are) is your armoire, as these old artifact sets are one of the few that can be stored in that particular space.

I assume the quest should be abandondable given it's a sidequest not a main scenario quest (the ability to repurchase AF armour at the Calamity Salvager is only unlocked after completing the quest) - have you opened your Journal and see if there is the 'Abandon' button in the bottom right of the quest description?

The only other alternative I can suggest (and this is an extreme option that's a last resort) is to buy the level skip for MRD/WAR from the Mogstation that will grant you the full set of AF gear automatically, setting the full quest line to complete (as well as automatically levelelling you up to level 80) However if you're enjoying levelling it and playing through it's storyline then it's not reccomended.

Years after this problem happened to me too and reading all the forum there didn't seem to be any solution so I contacted a GM.

Got an answer in the hour (thanks a lot to them). Dunno if they actually rewinded the quest for me or if it could be done without contacting them but I think it's worth a try.

So I would suggest to go back to these locations to see if the chest would be there again and if they aren't to nicely contact a GM (they didn't mention any item recovery used in the exchanges).
