Duty Support System: The end of Second Chance?

I have read that some new players like to do dungeons with the duty support system on their first run. It seems like many players like that. Do a dungeon or other content with npcs for the first time(s) and only then que to do these instances with other players.

My question is: will this be the end of 'second chance' points? How do you feel about that? How long does it take you to get a second chance point (not from yourself)? Is it (still) easy to get second chance points if you que for the right instances?

There's plenty of dungeons that don't have trusts in ARR and HW. I don't think any of the SB dungeons have trusts either since there's currently a gap there. Besides that some people whether it's alts or just regular people are going to prefer queueing up with real people over trusts always.

I end up getting queued with someone first timing EW dungeons quite often, even though it's heavily suggested that you should do ShB and EW dungeons with trusts first since you get to experience all the npc chatter that goes on with them.

Good to see it still seems to be easy to get those points. The problem with no trust in certain dungeons is that the developes said they want to add duty support for more dungeons.

They're stated their only intent (for now) is to add the support for dungeons required for MSQ. It's the HW/SB MSQ dungeons that would be those "more dungeons". The idea is to give long time FF franchise fans a way to play through the story mostly solo because they're used to solo games.

Raids and Alliance raids won't be getting Duty Support. Those will be a source of Second Chance points. They sounded uncertain about adding Duty Support to more 8 man trials (the level 89 trial was an experiment for them) so those will likely continue to be a source of points as well.

And there will be those players who like to jump into group content based on experience in other MMOs that will continue to do MSQ through Duty Finder, not Duty Support.

From the sound of it, only mandatory dungeons for MSQ will receive trust support. All optional dungeons will still be multiplayer only. And even with trusts, plenty of players are gonna want to play dungeons with people and not AI. It is an MMO after all, not everyone is looking for a single player adventure.
