Third ring of savage suffering: Birbs from Hell edition.

I've been stuck on the birb for months. Farthest I've gotten is FOA. And by that I mean half the party died and I simply saw the mechanics. This is even when joining clear parties that say they know the mechs just to see if I could get further than the FOA progs and 9/10 they die to the adds phase. Also including parties where most of them are "vets". From what I've heard bouncing around parties my experience isn't the only one. It seems everyone has hit the wall known as the angry KFC brought to us by Lahabrea (I wish I could kill him a second time) :mad:

It's not even fun at this point. I thought the Hippo was hard but I was able to hit its enrage many times and only took me like a month and that was joining parties on my days off. I have spent night after night on birb making little to no progress despite having all the mechs memorized as it only takes one tank not grabbing a tether properly or not killing the adds not once but twice within a small 60 window and having no one so much as cough too hard for everything to go to Hell.

Call me a casual (despite making it this far) but like, can we get a checkpoint? A debuff? I get ol Dracula whom I haven't seen a video on nor want to being uber hard as he is the gatekeeper to the new Ultimate but ain't this a bit much for the third boss in this series? This birb should have been the main antagonist of the Endwalker expansion.

Sorry you’re having trouble with it.Having cleared all the savage fights this tier, i can say honestly it was my least favorite savage fight out of the 4. The background and colors on aoes sucked, the mechanics weren’t very engaging outside of like, one, and it’s just a long and dreadful fight. The only thing i can recommend is watch a couple of guides on mechanics that you’re struggling on. Other than that i would highly highly highly recommend trying to find a static that works around times you’re available. Party finder is horrid for things like savage and you could potentially just never clear with how random it is. I wish you the best of luck though.

Out of curiosity, are the deaths to adds happening because of dash masacres or to adds enrage?

Mostly adds. Someone forgets how a compass works, tank messes up aggro on the birds. Or one bird doesn't die in it's cardinal position leading to buffs during the tether phase which wipe the floor with people.

I'm quite fond of this fight tbh, aside from the orange on orange which is a bit hard on the eyes. My advice is if you are close to clearing is to put up an any chest clear pty on the weekend during EST prime hours. Some of the "bored" vets (myself included) usually jump into those PF groups on the weekend to help out. Call it "Community Service" so to speak. This ones a bit hard for most PF groups, but I've personally helped quite a few clear this floor over the last couple months out of sheer boredom and playing difference classes for fun. (Also helps cap weekly tomes, not a fan of expert dungeons atm)

One thing though is with clear parties you have to be willing to remove people who are not actually ready to clear. It sounds mean but that's the reality of PF
