Retainer & Gysahl Green Ring

Hello!
Recently I saw some one with a Gysahl Green Ring.
Seeing it has Heavy Resistance, and having played since 2.4 I was astonished I had never seen it before!
Turns out it was a 2012 design contest design reward, and can also be gotten from a retainers Field Exploration X!

I've one about 30 Field Exploration X with my 3 retainers, and have not been lucky yet.
I just want to know if anyone recently got this ring, and can confirm it is still obtainable this way? I remember retainer rewards had some changes a couple years ago, so I am hoping to get some info!
