E3 Expectations

E3 is coming soon, actually in 10 days. What do you expect guys - how are your expectations ? :p

I dont play FFXIV much at present, however I am stayin' subbed. I log to check patches.
I might say it went a huge step in right direction since release. And all stuff about 2.0 and PS3 release are givin' me a lill' hope that game may succeed again with PS3 release.

However - what I am looking forward in near future is mentioned E3 :i I am not sure excatly if they will show us anything (yoshi said, they will). But if they do - what kind of trailer are you expecting ?

1)<movie/cut scenes> with very little from gameplay

2)a lot of gameplay, showing us "new UI" for the first time (materia, gear, inventory) + new content

3) a lot of text of kind - eorzea is rising, and very low of gameplay (might happen) :D

or anything else. I myself think it will be very, very short trailer mix of 1) and 3). - if there will be. I hope they are going to keep promise in any way :)

Type 2) of presentation would be the best to address players, even ex-players./fans

I can't wait to finally have an MMO on my PS3. Now I won't have to lug my computer round in case I'm on the go. Wish I had a laptop, but a PS3 is better anyways :P

Hoping to see anything tbh lol as long as it gives me the FF nostalgia feel yoshi is going for then im good :D

As far as I'm aware there has only ever been talks of them showing a trailer there.

I have a bad feeling people are going to expect much more and then be disappointed that we only got a trailer. Even though they didn't say to expect more.

Square said that starting from E3 they will start to show 2.0 and heavily promote it. We might not see much at E3 but it will finally mark the end of the silence and we should finally start to learn a lot more.

One thing I learned about video games: keep your expectations low.

We're not really going to know anything much more about 2.0 than what already released. A trailer and gameplay demos are probably the most we're getting. We can't play the game from here any way. I don't care about E3. I just want to experience the beta. That's what I'm looking foward to.

I'm looking forward to gameplay trailer,showing new UI, new redesigned world.

But knowing the timeframe they had, it will probably be #1, only CGI....

But also keeping my expectation even lower again, there will probably be nothing, only an announcement that they're working on it.

I expect a cinematic trailer. Nothing more.

Oh, I also expect a bunch of angry butthurt posts here talking about how the trailer was cinematic and how we still know nothing about 2.0.

Doesn't matter what Square Enix does....good or bad... White knights will defend them on anything they do... Such a short development cycle...I wouldn't expect much
