Bots on new fates for gemstones.

There are tons of bots in servers just botting fates nonstop in Thavnair and Garlemald, reports have been sent but they're still constantly there.

I second this, I am playing on my alt and the bots are literally everywhere. It's kinda sad that those bots are that easily spotted and yet they are still around.

Why are the GMs refusing to ban these bots? I mean multiple reports have been sent out but time after time, a new report comes out that says hundreds if not thousands of RMT characters have been banned but these level 90 FATE bots still persist. Like what's the deal? Why won't they ban them? Is there a reason? Any at all?

The GMs don't handle issues related to bots. The Special Task Force does. The most the GMs will do is forward any reports they receive to the STF.

We don't have any information on how the Special Task Force is organized so we can't say why the bots persist (assuming they aren't being banned and immediately replaced by new accounts with new bots). Any countermeasures that the STF implements has to be tested to make certain it's not disruptive to normal game play, which can be difficult.

If you have any evidence of bot activity, you can forward it to the STF using the link in the bottom right corner of the Support webpage.

Well I know this isn't the case because it's the same few bots with the same names I've recognized for the past few weeks. They're level 90 which means if they're banned it will be coming out of the pocket of whoever put them there. SE banned a bunch of bots in Eureka and they disappeared after that, so I don't see why they won't do that in the actual overworld.

It does take time for them to conduct their investigations. They're not just trying to identify the bots but also find ways to break their activity patterns. You mention the Eureka bots as an example. Those were active for several months. You might end up seeing the same with these bots.

But I agree SE makes a lot of strange decisions when it comes to giving players good tools to report things like bots and notifying players of those tools.

Even if the site is using copyrighted FFXIV artistic assets to promote the bot program, all they would have to do is remove those assets from the website and it could go right back up.

DMCA has a very limited reach. It does nothing to the makers of third party programs as long as those programs aren't directly using copyrighted works. Interacting with copyright works is different.

It's hard to get a company selling bot programs shut down. Even Blizzard needed almost a decade of court battles to get the company selling what was probably the most notorious bot program in WoW's history out of business.
