Reason for lack of Auto-translation text function in "Search"?

I'll start this as I start all my posts. If someone has already asked this, sorry for being redundant.

My question is, has there been put out any information (from DEVs, producers letter, etc) that states the justification behind not including the auto-translation function in the "Search" dialog box?

I believe the lack of tab-text hinders people from using the "Search" feature (which already has issues, but that's a different post) for two reasons:

1) People use, or at least want to use the "Search" feature for more than just XP pts. The problem lays in determining what type of events people are searching for. There could be at this moment a JP group with 7 people already looking for an 8th to enter Moogle. I could be sitting in town with my "Search" set to read "Moogle/Ifrit/Garuda". If no one in that group can read english, I don't get invited. They continue to seek, ultimately disbanding, and I continue to be bored.

2) I can't spell.

So I ask again, is there a viable reason for the lack of auto-translate in "Search"? Or is this another "You'll see it in 2.0!"

Most JP understand 'Ifrit/Garuda/Moogle", so it's really not a problem as well as 'BLM/PLD/WHM' etc, so there's actually no hindrance with/without the auto-translate since it's already more of a hassle to use to begin with in Japanese.

I've read nor seen nothing about this being mentioned by them but you also have to take into consideration even on large servers a lot of players will remember certain people and how they play/compose themselves so even with limited understanding of English, Japanese players may remember someone and how they were in a party or something and simply just not invite them.
