The next steps?

Congrats to all the players that finally got their houses! (including me} after this debacle. my question is ,what do you do after you claim your plot?

Put up an estate hall after buying a permit (in the housing menu you can buy a permit by the way), get a mini aetheryte so you can teleport to it and start deco'ing your house.

Spend all the free refund gil on decorations and glam.

(ps I already had a house but I assume this is what everyone will do)

Slap mini-aetheryte into the garden and start decorating. What else would you do?

Houses aren't real.

Go wild!
No, seriously. Slam an estate hall on your plot, put a mini aetheryte up, get a Summoning Bell, a Junkmonger and Material Supplier permit if you intend to craft the stuff you need yourself (craft it yourself, housing market exploded with 6.1) and then go wild with decorating.

If you have trouble finding inspiration or can't quite decide on a design you can get some really nice inspirations on the internet. Just look for things like "ffxiv housing library" or "ffxiv housing modern". And then have fun decorating.
YT is also a great source for guides on glitching that opens up a lot more possibilities than you'd have with basic placing & rotating.
