Fleeting Raiju Sound is AWEFUL!

Never thought I would make a post about an in-game ability sound but here we are.

I can not get over how bad the sound for Fleeting Raiju is.
It neither sounds impactful nor like something lightning-based.

It sounds like someone is wobbling with a sheet of thin metal.

Have they ever reworked an ability-sound so far? is there hope?

(6.1 ninja feels good though, I like having more personal DPS)

Be careful what you wish for. Gunbreaker sound effects were reworked because people complained it sounded too weak. Now it sounds like you're slapping the opponent with a wooden bat that occasionally explodes.

I have to admit, so many of the FFXIV job abilities SFX are so awful.

Shinten's definitely does. Thank god I'm rid of it now.

"Shinten" sounds familiar. Isn't that from a class that was deleted from the game recently? Forgot what the class' name is though...

in terms of sounds that I think are awful for Ninja . . . Phantom Kamaitachi takes the cake for me. It's literally a bowling ball knocking over pins . . . which is hilarious but not the sound I'd like for a ninja technique.

I still stop & pause at the Dragoon's weird little chime sound. It took me WAY too long to realize that was ME. I don't hate it, I guess - I just think, "WHY?"

Almost every GCD action dragoon has sounds awful, or looks really silly or boring. That being said, I miss ring of thorns.

Oh, and the sound design for most classes sucks.

My worst sound remains Ruin - it's just nails on a chalkboard, like some awful screechy spider climbing up my neck. I don't really MIND the Dragoon's weird tinkly chimes - it just takes me off guard *every single time.* I just don't feel like Estinien would tolerate that noise for a second.

Definitely agree that Fleeting Raiju sounds a bit odd; Forked Raiju sounds much more impactful and like what it's supposed to be - a powerful lightning dash. Sometimes I use it over Forked if I get away with it, just because it sounds nicer.

Hard disagree on the changes, though. Ninja didn't need to be stronger (it was already absurdly strong in 6.08), I miss being a real buff class instead of a copy-pasted melee, and the Mug change made our already pretty bad Ninki management even worse. Bhava might be as well be a cooldown ability instead of gauge, because you're certainly never getting more than three of those in Trick -- if you're lucky. Much more often, you'll just get two.
