New Ultimate Idea: Light Wardens Ultimate

Here me out!

From the way Dragons Song Reprise was handled with having multiple different bosses linked to Nidhogg's eyes as the enemies you have to beat one after the other...Why not do the same thing with the Light Wardens and the Warrior of Light (the one from the cinematic trailers and offical art with the Scions)?

I was thinking today what it would be like if the Warrior of Light had succumbed to the collective energy of Light Wardens they held inside them. What kind of Sin Eater would they have become with their collective powers combined with the WoL?

Wouldn't it be cool if you got to fight every single Light Warden on one after the other and then faced off against the Warrior of Light himself before he suddenly succumbs to the collective Light Warden's light upon his defeat and transforms into this ultimate Sin Eater that would have even Emet Selch, Elidibus and Eden/Midus shaking in their boots?

It comes down to the details, but I can certainly imagine details by which that'd be a pretty awesome fight, sure.

Maybe after the Stormblood ultimates.

I'm pretty certain SE won't go this route and would probably just end up doing a 'Hades Ultimate' trial instead as it's easier, given three of the Lightwardens were just dungeon bosses with little more than flavour text for background lore (Phillia had an excuse plot of once being an elf who lived in Holminster and thus attacked his former home out of some long-ago grudge, and Eros and Storge I don't think even had that, they were just... there), so there is little story reason for them.

Also, the thought experiment of imagining what the WoL would have become had they succumbed to the corrupted Light and became a Lightwarden themself is... rather rendundant given there would have been no one left powerful enough to take them on, and, they would have ended up destroyed anyway once the First was successfully rejoined to the Source in an alternate Eight Calamity as Emet planned, so, it's a bit of a moot point really.

I kinda hope they mix up the pattern slightly. Stormblood would benefit a lot by combining the MSQ and Raid content into one ultimate, by having a Shinryu vs. Omega plot. This would free up room for the 2nd 'SB' Ultimate to tackle something a bit different, maybe it could be Four Lords or Ivalice related.

When they then get to ShB content, I agree that just the standard MSQ boss (Hades) probably wouldn't be enough on it's own. It could be that the retelling is Emet throwing all of the lightwardens at us at once, instead of use beating them one at a time. Then the Eden raids could give us a true Ultimecia stand off.

This is assuming we'll get another ultimate after the latest fiasco. Watching people cheat their way through your hardest content has to sour the idea of doing that again.

What?

That has nothing to do whether or not they would implement an Ultimate. If we didn't have Ultimates, people would do the same for Savage and EX clears.

they already confirmed Ultimate raid #5 for 6.3.

I'd kind of like a Four Lords ultimate if it concludes with us actually getting to fight Koryu instead of it being dealt with in a cutscene.
