Increase apartment & FC room sizes

As the title suggests, this is in regards to how limited the current apartment & FC rooms are in item limit.

Please increase their current item limit and storage to match a small house size- which is 200 interior item limit and storage

Another request is to add larger apartments with larger item limits & with a bottom or top floor. (attic/ top floor makes more sense but a basement would make decorating easier)

Also, please consider adding atleast 1 roommate in addition to the apartment rooms- currently, apartment/ FC rooms are solo owned but I've seen many requests (& also agree) to have atleast 1 room mate- just like the tenants in houses (which can decorate/ adjust things as well as the owner)

Another request is being able to have some type of garden plot for apartments- for people who aren't allowed to manage FC garden plots & cannot own a house in FFXIV due to the housing being so very flawed.

Can't agree more.

It's a challenge to be given such a low number count for apartments and FC rooms. Because a few items here and there really add up quick, especially if you want to do a moderately decent room.

It would be fantastic to expand the current “apartment” size/proportion and/or least add an another additional room worthy enough to be deemed as an apartment/condo.

The current apartment/FC room truly is a……literally just a room! if anything more like a bachelor room. It’s frustated as you’re limited to also add a variety of items and also because of “space” unawares you feel the room is awfully cluttered/hoarded with too much as it renders it difficult to navigate around; let alone interact with them as well,

One of my techniques is to add lighter colours to the walls & modify certain wall/partitions to create the allusion of “vastness/openness” at the expense of limited furniture/items being added.

Truly hope they’ll touch on this matter.

I may be one of the few that truly show appreciation for apartment/condos than aim for the supremacy & race to obtain a house property (couldn’t be bothered + don’t want to be on edge to log in certain times due to the risk of having house being vacated by the system….i might be gone for 30 days…irl stuff happens all the time).

Apartments needs to be upgraded.
We should be able to buy 1 Apartment for 500.000 Gil and then an Upgrade for a second Room same size as the first Room for extra 750.000 Gil.
The Deko Limit should increase from 100 Items per Room to 175 Items for each Room. All problems solved.
Cause right now only a "Handful" of Players gets a House, the rest has only those "Rat hole" Apartments.
Even if this should not be possible, then change atleast the Apartment size and high to the same Size like the Crystarium Inn, in the Pendants and raise the Deko Limit to 300 Items.

All of this, especially with the roommate thing. I know it's incredibly unlikely I'm going to manage to get a house, I've already lost one lottery and with the waiting time the chances of me getting one are dropping even lower. I got an apartment thinking that I could put placeable food down and allow my friends to eat it. However, I got one and learned that there's no setting for this. You have to share the house with them. If apartment sizes increased and a roommate feature was available, the only thing I'd want from personal housing would be full gardening. I would almost be content with just staying in an apartment.

Basically my state of mind,

Not that I’ve given up on housing but really lost interest for it given the lottery competition drag; pretty relentless.

I truly hope they’ll see this post & reflect on it as it’ll motivate players to buy apartments/condos & with such flexibility it would be far authentic & meaningful,

Thanks for bringing in this topic OP! I can only hope more individuals shares our similarities & interests regarding apartment/FC room expansion/ideas.

There are some amazing apartment designs I've seen people do and have attempted myself that give the illusion of extra rooms and floors, but the issue is how many walls, lofts and doors have to be used in order to make them, not to mention the amount of partitions that get used to hide the apartment's original walls. The storage space gets eaten up real fast.

It would really help to have the option to remove the pillars, windows and siding, and just have solid, flat walls.

100%. Item limits could definitely do with being upped across all housing.

To be entirely fair as the previous poster mentioned, this isnt only for apartments, this goes for smalls mediums and larges, item limit needs to be at least double to be viable, with larges being the worse, it's basically impossible to do all floors with some level of detail without running out of slots half way

Definitely need item limit increases across the board! And I’d love to see different sizes and layouts for apartments too! Make a small, medium and large size, add some balconies for outdoor stuff, maybe a built-in loft area that actually allows you to place furniture on it like a floor… Also love the roommate idea.
