Title says pretty much it all. According to Clownfish TV it looks as though Sony is about to buy up SE. I have no idea what this would mean in terms of how it affects FFXIV. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Acquisitions are only good for the companies and never the players that want to play on any platform. With that said, continuing service games are rarely effected by acquisitions. FFXIV would be 100% safe.
