So, im playing through the game a second time on a new character (I went through things too quickly before, wanted to try and get through slower and more detailed this time) and im on Ultima Thule and noticed that whenever you open up a new area of the map, the music changes. I didnt notice this the first time through and thought it was an interesting little tid bit.
What else have people noticed like this?
Yeah it slowly expands the zone song. Reminds men when games used music to illustrate area progression like Persona 3 or Mystical Ninja
I remember the devs said the music expands to represent voices added to the song of hope
The music changing like this was obviously meant to be noticed and I did notice it. If you don't notice it then it's hard to miss how much it changes by the end unless you have your volume disabled.
When replaying, I noticed Hythlodaeus appear where you do the first trial, in Elpis form. I didn't understand what the voice that screams out right after the trial was the first time, but I do now. There is plenty of foreshadowing that I didn't get on my first time through, because it doesn't make sense without knowing what happens later on.
